Hoof balm
Promotes hoof growth and elasticity of the hoof horn
This hoof balm is designed for all problem hooves!
Whether too soft or too hard - Equidura® hoof balm controls the horn moisture of any hoof. Equidura® hoof balm with bay oil and further highly effective and caring ingredients improves the elasticity of the hoof horn and keeps it healthy. Equidura® does not only put a layer on the hoof surface, but it penetrates deeply into the hoof wall and hardens the hoof from inside. At the same time it maintains the respiration of the hoof horn.
Equidura® hoof balm reliably protects the hooves from becoming dry in summer or because of a dry woodchips bedding as well as from softening because of being exposed to moisture as e.g. water and urine.
Equidura® restores the moisture content of the hoof horn in a natural way, and the horn stability improves. The hoof horn recovers its elasticity, which means a prevention of cracks as well as of common hoof problems like brittle hooves. If the horse is shod, the horseshoes hold much longer. For production we only use top quality raw materials.
Application:
According to the condition of the hooves Equidura® is applied as follows:
Hooves are too dry:
Some minutes before application let the hooves soak in water. Then apply Equidura® to hoof wall and coronet only. No hoof balm on sole and frog.
Hooves are too soft:
Apply Equidura® to the dry hooves and the coronet band. Apply also to hoof sole and if necessary to the frog. The frog has to be dry and healthy. For outside horses or if riding on wet ground, apply Equidura® prior to riding.
Normal hooves:
For care and preservation apply daily to hoof wall and coronet band.
Note: Daily use improves strength and elasticity of the hooves.
If you also apply a 2 cm layer of Equidura® in the coat above the coronet band, it will run down along the hoof wall for hours because of the body warmth. This makes it a very effective long-term care.
